about

Ru's Self Titled Debut EP 'Ru' has been a work in progress over the last 2 years. It's heart centrally revolves around love, loss and exploring the vast emotions that feed our lives to grow. These songs came from a place of friendship across worldly distances, family, and a need to share the creativity and connection that runs through us all.

Recorded at home prominently over the final months of 2015, this album reflects a time alone. Some tracks however were recorded around the world, a ukulele track from 2012, mixed with feelings from mid 2015 and lyrics added thereafter. These songs have grown with me and are the beginning of a further Debut Album that is in the works.

Thank you so much to everybody who has supported me so far and shared with me their stories. I am so very grateful for your love. And a warm thank you to Zak, Billy, Jordan and all the other human beans who were either a part of this record or influenced it heavily. <3

All my love,
Zal

Track Name: Comfort
Feel the water falling on my head
And down my neck
I'm on your breast
I see your threads beside us
Comfort

Seeps through these walls
And on your toes
And up your legs
And in between us
Holding what was lost before
It couldn't hold it's own weight
Heartbreak

But I know
You shouldn't be the one to hold it all inside you
Track Name: Don't Talk To Me
Don't talk to me
I've had enough
Don't talk to me
I've been listening all day
all month, all year
Nothing's getting better
